Workbook Limitations

Important

Please note that the Nectari Web Workbook preview is provided “as is” and is still undergoing development and does not represent the final version on the Web Workbook. We cannot guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error free and we advise you to safeguard important data and use caution when referring to the data in the Web Workbook preview. The Web Workbook preview is covered by the same support as your Nectari Software account.

Note

You may find yourselves unable to clear the cache or have formulas that keep loading for an extended period of time. Refreshing the browser (F5 on the keyboard) will reset the system back to its original state. Make sure to save any changes on the worksheet before proceeding, as pending changes will be discarded and the caches cleared or all their content.

Please be aware that this release of the workbook has the following limitations:

  • The Web Workbook components are available in English and French only.

  • Data Model parameter values cannot be changed in the workbook. You can change these values in the Data Models and Views tab.

  • There is no shortcut to rename a workbook (function available using Properties).

  • In the Formula Wizard, if you create a formula with a Date filter, you must enter the value in this format: yyyy-mm-dd. This limitation does not apply when referencing a cell.

  • Using measures as filter may cause a decrease in performance.

  • When exporting a workbook using the Export Templates feature, you must select at least one data model if the workbook does not contain any formula.

  • SQL queries returned by the web workbook cannot exceed a 5-minute execution time nor volumes higher than 500,000 rows. If these limits are reached, the formulas will fail with an error.

  • The formula wizard does not support multiple formulas within the same cell.

  • You cannot rename a folder or add translations to a folder name after creation.

  • Newly created global variables are not immediately available in the Functions tool. You need to log out and log back in to have the updated list.
